Participants will learn the principles of electron microscopy, biological sample preparation workflows, and gain hands-on experience with negative staining, TEM, and SEM specimen preparation.

Participants will learn how to perform volume EM sample preparation in a wet-lab setting, explore unique and targeted stains as well as key immunolabeling considerations, and gain insight into how these choices support high-quality 3D imaging outcomes. Throughout the workshop, the PrepMaster® 5100 Automated Workflow System will simultaneously process equivalent specimens using the rOTO protocol, providing a side-by-side comparison of traditional manual methods and state-of-the-art laboratory automation
